Pumpkin Spice Season

Pumpkin Spice Season

As we are approaching the spooky season of halloween, the days are getting shorter, evenings are getting darker and the movies are getting scarier. Although halloween is the perfect season for pumpkins, they’re not just for carving spooky faces into.

Pumpkins are also great for roasting, pies, soups, and cakes. It’s definitely one of our favourite fruits, that’s right, pumpkins are in fact a fruit!

It's the perfect time of year for wrapping up in a chunky scarf and woolly hat, walking through the autumnal trees with a warm Spiced Pumpkin Latte, which if you haven't tried before, you need to!

Heck, Pumpkin flavoured everything we say!

Pumpkins are also wonderful for glowing skin and preventing acne. Rich in vitamin A, C + E, pumpkins can reduce inflammation, reduce pore size and control excess oils. The exfoliating properties prevent the appearance of breakouts, whiteheads and blackheads and other blemishes and pimples.

We even like to make our own vegan pumpkin face mask which is great for helping:
  • Exfoliating

  • Plumping and moisturising

  • Improves elasticity

  • Reduces inflammation

  • Brightens skin

All you need is:

  • Pumpkin

  • 1 Tbsp Brown sugar

  • Half a banana

  • 1 Tbsp Oats

  • 1 Tbsp Coconut oil

Scoop out the pumpkin flesh, add all of the ingredients and blend together.

Leave the mask on for 15 minutes, rinse off and apply toner.

Store the leftovers in the fridge for another day.
